I am running Windows 7,ArcGIS 10.6,ArcGIS Pro 2.2,64 bit Python extension,FME 32 and FME64
I have reinstalled, repaired and upgraded everything.
I have read all the old notes about clashes with 64 and 32 bit.
This crash happens with no FME errors when I simply generate a new workspace. If I close the system crash box (pasted above) the workbench carries on as normal, until it crashes after running, but again I can simply dismiss the box and it appears to have finished normally.
This does not happen if I open 32 bit FME.
On an identical setup on my laptop (but Windows 10) I do not get the crashes.
Hi@kimo,
I'm wondering if this is linked to this problem here that was reported for Windows 7:https://knowledge.亚搏在线safe.com/articles/63592/fme-exe-has-stopped-working-after-updating-windows.html
Perhaps check to see if you have these window updates installed:KB4056894 and/or KB405689
If so,you may want to try the two solutions suggested in the article to see if it fixes the issue with FME 64-bit.

FYI for those of you looking for the patch for 10.6.1,it looks like they merged desktop/server into one:https://support.esri.com/en/download/7639
I don't have the problematic Windows updates listed but I have upgraded to 10.6 WITHOUT installing the 64bit geoprocessing patch after installing the 64 bit python extension.Installing the patch fixed the crashing.https://support.esri.com/en/download/7579
What is surprising is that we need to keep installing the patch after every update! The patch has versions dating back to 10.1.The problem has been surfacing since 2009 according to the datestamps on Knowledgebase. Thanks to all the support on this problem,it has been a lot of time on fruitless searching.
