This article is part 9 of a tutorial to help you get started with FME Cloud.We will cover FME Cloud notifications.This tutorial needs to be followed in order.Please completePart 1: Sign UpandPart 2: Launch Instancebefore continuing with this article.
1) Login to FME Cloud
Login to FME Cloudhereif you have not already done so.
2) Explore notifications
Click on Notifications on the left sidebar of your dashboard.You will notice you have two options here: Notification Groups and Notification Services.

Click on Notification Services.A number of notifications are set up by default: the emails of FME Cloud account users.

3) Create a notification service
Click on the Create Notification Service button.You have several options: email,PagerDuty,Slack,and Webhook.

Each notification service has its own configuration page.Some fields have a tooltip or links with more information.
For example,you could set up a Slack notification service.Enter the name of the notification service,e.g."FME Cloud to Slack."

You can set these up yourself within yourSlack workspace webhook configuration page.Fill in which existing channel to post to (try a private channel for testing first):

Then copy the Webhook URL to use in FME Cloud.

If you set this up and then click the Save button,you will see it added to the list of notification services.From here you can click the Edit button on the right to change the configuration.

4) Test your notification service
Select your new notification service by checking the box next to its name.
Click the Test Service button.
You should receive a green alert box saying a test notification was sent:

If you set up a Slack notification as per the instructions above,it should look something like this in Slack:

5) Explore notification groups
Click on Notifications > Notification Groups.
By default,you will have no groups.These groups can bring together multiple notification services.If you wish to,click the Learn more button here to read theFME Cloud documentation related to notification groups.
Click Create Notification Group to create a new group.

Fill in a name for your notification group.
You will see all your notification services listed below.You can choose which services are part of the group.Click Save.

Now you will see these notification services are all part of one group.
