This guide will help troubleshoot problems with FME 64-bit and ArcGIS Background Geoprocessing.
Problem
While running a workspace with FME 64-bit,you receive the error "Unable to retrieve the Workspace object from the WorkspaceName object.The error number from ArcObjects is: '-2147220952'.The error message from ArcObjects is: {}"
Or you receive this error:‘GetLastError is: 127'.
Cause
The version of 64-bit Background Geoprocessing installed is currently incompatible with the installed ArcGIS version.
Solution
Uninstall the existing version of ArcGIS Background Geoprocess,and re-install the version that matches your ArcGIS Installation.
For example,if upgrading from ArcGIS 10.4.1 to ArcGIS 10.5.Uninstall ArcGIS Background Geoprocessing 10.4.1 and install ArcGIS Background Geoprocess 10.5.
1.Make a database connection in ArcGIS.
2.Ensure Background Geoprocessing is toggled on.
3.Use the Get Count Tool found under Data Management > Table.
4.If Esri fails,check your Background Geoprocessing 64-bit installation.
