Troubleshooting

Firewalls and Ports:

You should verify that both your incoming and outgoing ports are open for the specified email service.Note that these are not always the default ports.Some providers block port 25 as it is a port used by spammers in this case you would use port 587 for SMTP instead.Network firewall should also be checked by your IT department.

FME Server Configuration:

If you are using the built-in FME Server email SMTP service (receiving) your hostname and domain should resolve to a publicly accessible IP or DNS.

If your FME Server web interface is accessed via myserver.mydomain:8080/fmeserver then your email should be myUser@myserver.mydomain (note that you do not need to add the extra ".com" nor include the web interface port number)

Email Server:

Has your email account been configured to allow other applications to use it?

Gmail: If using 2-factor authentication with Google,您还需要生成一个app password,and replace the SMTP password with this 16 digit app password code.

Hello everyone,

I am trying convert Shape file to cad file with annotation.I use LapelPointReplacer transformator.I received the annotation with this transformator.But I want it to stand annotation next to point as you get closer to the point.When I get the closing point,the annotaion should be positioned relative to the position.Maybe the problem occurred by labelPointReplacer has constant labelheigth,so the annotation size never getting smaller when i get close the annotation.Please help me What am I doing wrong?

My colleague and I have both an FME license.We use a workspace to bound pictures (jpg) to trackpoints from a gps (gpx) based on their time.

When he runs the workspace it takes about 10 minutes for 5000 pictures.

When I run the workspace it takes about 10 minutes for 100 pictures.

Our pc's are both very good.Similar cpu's (i7 5930).I have 64gb ram.He has 32 gb ram.I have a nvidia quadro K4200.He has a gtx 1080.

Workbench:

reader1: ECW --> RasterSelector (3 ALL) --> RasterBandRemover -->

Clipper --> writer:JPG

reader2: SHP -->

After starting it I get this:LOG

It just stops until I manually stop it.I use FME 2017.1.0.0.

The strange thing is that when I make the same workbench on a colleagues computer (FME 2017 1.2.1) It runs with no problems and makes the JPG in 1 min.

After a reboot of your Windows server,FME Server fails to start and no engines are running.

Cause

This issue may occur because the local FME License service has not started in time before FME Server's engines start to request licenses.When the licenses are not found,the FME Server Service fails to start properly and must be restarted manually.

Resolution 1

On the affected system,run the following in a Command Prompt window,as Administrator:

sc config FMEServer depend= "FME Server Database"/"FME License Server"

This command ensures that the proper dependencies for the FME Server service are running first.

Resolution 2

On Windows 2008 Server or Windows 7 systems,set the Startup type for the FME Server Service to Automatic (Delayed Start).

When FME Server is configured to use SSL for client-server communication,workspaces registered to the Notification Service may not run.

Cause

This issue is caused by security rules imposed by the Apache Tomcat application server that runs the Notification Service.The server rejects the self-signed certificate that was created when SSL was configured on the application server.

Resolution

On the machine where FME Server is installed,run the following Java keytool command:

keytool -import -v -trustcacerts -alias server-alias -keystore "%JAVA_HOME%\jre\lib\security\cacerts" -file
       
        -keypass
        
         -storepass
          
         
        
       

This command imports the untrusted certificate into the FME Server database and instructs the web application server to make an exception for it.

On Linux,FME Server may fail to start up fully when configured to use an Oracle database server.The log files fmeprocessmonitorcore.log or fmeprocessmonitorengine.log indicate certain components of FME Server fail to start.Other log files may have the following line,followed by a stack trace:

> SQLException: COM.亚搏在线safe.fmeserver.database.FMEServerDBException: java.sql.SQLException: No more data to read from socket

Cause

There may be performance issues with a Java virtual machine (JVM) setting for random number generation.

Resolution

Change the JVM setting that is causing the performance issue.

1. Open the file:

/Utilities/jre/lib/security/java.security

securerandom.source=file:/dev/urandom

To:

securerandom.source=file:/dev/./urandom

#   -Djava.security.egd=file:/dev/urandom

To:

-Djava.security.egd=file:/dev/./urandom

Initial Troubleshooting

There are a few general things that may help to solve an issue with FME Server.This guide can be used when you have just installed FME Server and encounter an issue or if FME Server has stopped functioning properly.Examples of issues may include an unresponsive Web User Interface or a message such as "Could not connect to FME Core."

Verification

After performing each of the following solutions,please verify if the issue has been corrected by running through a quick verification process for eitherWindowsorLinux.

Restart FME Server

Restart FME Server and make sure all the services are running.See the documentation fordetailed instructionson working with the services.If any services fail to start,then reboot the operating system and try to restart the services again.
Note: If licensing is hosted on a different machine,the License Server Service will not start and is not actually necessary for FME Server to run.

Look for Orphan Processes

An orphan process is a computer process whose parent process has finished or terminated,though it remains running itself.In this case we are looking for unintentionally orphaned processes,such as when the parent process terminates or crashes.To find these,stop all services listedin the documentation,and proceed as follows:

Windows
Open the task manager and look for any orphaned processes starting with "FME".If any are found,end those processes and start the services again.

Linux
Run the following command to list processes:

# ps -A

Look for the processes as described in the linked documentation article above.For reference,these may include:

• fme– one for each running FME Engine
• FMEServer- FME Server Core
• FMEScheduler- FME Server scheduler - requires the core to be running
• FMENotifier- FME Server notifier - requires the core to be running
• FMESubscriber- FME Server subscriber - requires the core to be running

Revert any Recent Changes

Overview

If you are able to run a workspace on FME Desktop,but it is failing on FME Server,it is possible that the account being used to run the FME Engine does not have permission to access the required system resources.

By default,the FME Server Windows services are set to use the local system account.The following procedure will allow you to determine if the account running the FME Engine service is causing the job failures.

Example Errors

In the FME translation log:

• class FdoException exception: File is not an SDF file,or is an SDF file with an unsupported version.

Try a using a different user account to run the service:
