Navigate to the Run a Workspace page in the Web UI, select any repository and workspace, and then click Run Workspace. The result is an error that looks like the following:
There was an error submitting the job.
In older versions of FME Server, the error may be any of the following:
Service is Unreachable, Failure to Resolve Host
Could not Complete Transformation Could not run.Either the Job Submitter service aborted during the transmission or is not responding
1.This normally occurs because the service URL patterns that the Web UI uses are incorrectly configured.Often times this occurs at install time when the wrong port is selected for the servlet engine port.
2.Another cause can be because the servlet engine must be configured to listen on the IPv4 interface and not just the IPv6
3.This also may be due to the installer not properly configuring the web applications. In a normal installation, the installer looks at properties files inside each web application and replaces a number of placeholders with values (e.g.directories, port numbers) that match your installation settings. This third case may have something to do with having User Access Control (UAC) being turned on during installation.UAC may prevent the installer from replacing the placeholders. You can confirm it is this issue by examining the Apache log files, where you may find the following error:
org.dom4j.DocumentException: Error on line 6 of document: The element type "HR" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "". Nested exception: The element type "HR" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "".
Please try the following solutions to resolve the issue. After each solution is attempted, verify if the problem has been fixed by navigating to a repository and running a job.
Check these are correct by going to the Admin UI and opening the Services tab.
Configure each service so that the URL pattern is correct. To do this, ensure that the host name refers to host where your servlet engine is running and where your FME Server Services are installed. For express installations the host name will be the same as what you see in the Web User Interface. Also, ensure that the port number is the port used by your servlet engine.
For example (Data Download Service URL Pattern):
http://
If you have configured your FME Server for HTTPS/SSL, then you will need to ensure the service urls are https.
Please Note:如果您正在使用一个单独的Web服务器- Servlet Engine, it may be possible to leave the port out of the service URL but you must have setup some kind of Web Server - Servlet Engine connector. The recommended approach is to start by including the servlet engine port numbers in the service URLs to ensure your services are running correctly.
Check the engine is configured to accept requests from IPv4 interface and not just the IPv6.
Investigate the Job Submitter Service web applications .properties file:
Are there any placeholder values that haven't been replaced (e.g.{SAFE{resourcesDir}} )?
If there are placeholders, attempt to replace them with the correct values (use forward slashes instead of backslashes in path names).
For example:
RESOURCE_PATH= should have the full path to:
where
Try reinstalling FME Server with UAC turned off.
